... that they may know you ...
Every friday, I have the priviledge to tell our kids at Ithuteng about God, who loves them and wants them as his children! The best part is, when we find creative ways to help them understand and remember. That is why I introduced my puppets "Lucy" and "Lethabo" to the kids.
Last friday, we finished our series about the lessons that the story around King David and Absalom (2 Sam 13-18) teaches us. We talked about the consequences of our choices. We learned about the power of sin, that grows, when we don`t do anything about it. We were encouraged by how God gives us second chances and discovered how we can fight discontentment with thankfulness. As the story of Absamlom ends sadly, we discussed the fragile nature of relationships, that can be destroyed so easily and looked at the advice we get from God in how to live in love and peace with each other.
Now this is eternal life: that they may know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you have sent.
I love this part of my job and it is an honor to be able to share some of God`s love for these precious children! They are actually pretty amazing.
