SPRING Day - teens are so much fun!

Take 23 teenagers and a spring day event with a pool, the best message in the world, archery, a soccerfield, a braai, worship and some sun.... and you are set up for a day full of joy and laughter.

Today, I was able to take some of our teenagers form LIV Lanseria and the community to the Spring Day celebration of "Word of Life". We met in the morning of a sunny day and were picked up by transport that brought us to the Word of Life grounds. We checked in and explored all the fun activities. We found soccerfields, a volleyballfield, archery training facilities and a "soft" archery fighting ground, while hearing nice tunes and being welcomed by many friendly staff members. But most of the teens were busy seraching for the promised pool, which we discovered by a beautiful patio with palmtrees. What a sweet holiday feeling. Our brave boys went in first to find out that the water was seriously icy. But that didn`t stop us; we still made the pool area our favourite hang out place. Before lunch, there was a worship session under the trees. A young, energetic speaker shared love stories to paint the picture of the world`s most famous and dramatic love story, in which God gave his son out of love for YOU and ME.

After Boereworst-Rolls and Burgers, some of us got a run down on how to shoot arrows; others raced in the colour run, we played soccer, volleyball, shot each other with "safe" arrows, jumped on the trampolin and were drawn back to the pool. =)

I loved watching my crew go crazy, enjoying themselves and trying something new with contagious joy.

I am super proud of my responsible and fun teens. I love sharing life with you guys and I am excited for what is to come...

Thanks to Tulo (Word of Life student)

and Sam from the UK for helping us with funds and organising.
